Who we are
Pentarch Forestry commenced business in 1992 by securing an order for a one-off shipment of softwood pine logs to South Korea. It quickly became apparent that there was minimal expertise in this area elsewhere within Australia. We have progressively developed specialist skills and services in the fields of log marshalling, shipping and international trade to facilitate log export operations.
To complement these operations we established our forestry export business in New Zealand in 2000. This business has expanded to include strategic partnerships with forest owners through JPP Forestry Ltd (a joint venture with Juken) to end customers via Superpen Ltd (a joint venture with SC Rakau, a major Chinese customer).
Superpen has established an interest in a new New Zealand forestry initiative known as United Forestry Group, a structure enabling the consolidation of smaller forest holdings to be collectively and economically managed.
